First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bechtel.
Administrative Assistant
It was a really straightforward interview, nothing unexpected. If you've got responses ready for about the top 15 interview questions, you'll be well-prepared. The interview itself took around 40 minutes. I haven't heard back yet, and it's been weeks. One thing is the job description online wasn't quite what they said it was in person.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- How do you organize your day when faced with multiple tasks?
- What qualities do you value in a manager?
Administrative Assistant
I had my resume on monsters.com and received a call for an interview. The company was using trailers for their offices, so I felt a bit over-dressed. They initially thought I was too qualified, but I explained that everyone has to start somewhere. I wasn't initially offered the job, but after the first candidate didn't work out, they hired me.
- What are your long-term career aspirations over the next five years?
Administrative Assistant
I had a phone interview that lasted about 15 minutes. Then, I met with the person from the phone interview for an in-person interview with HR. After that, I would have met with my future manager and a few other managers.
- What are your five-year career aspirations?
