I applied online, probably through Indeed or SimplyHired. A month later, I got a call and they scheduled the interview for three weeks out. I stayed at a hotel in Pittsburgh the night before, in the same building as the interview. The next morning at 7:30 AM, we all met downstairs and waited for the other interviewees and managers. Then, about 20 of us went to a meeting room for a presentation about the company, benefits, and the security clearance process, which they mentioned can take 6-12 months and you can work elsewhere during that time. After that, we got our individual schedules. My first stop was HR for fingerprints, photos, and to go over paperwork and ask any questions. Next, I had two interviews back-to-back in a hotel room upstairs, meeting with a manager and then a principal engineer. They asked behavioral questions and others based on my resume. They said we'd hear back in 3-4 weeks, and it's only been a day or two, so I haven't heard anything yet.

We had a group interview with managers where they asked mostly about background, experience, and HR/personality stuff. Then there were 2 or 3 individual interviews with other managers, including engineering and some 'stumper' questions. The night before, I went to dinner with one worker. Mid-day during the interviews, I had lunch with some engineers. They also went over the workload, shift schedule, and benefits, giving us lots of chances to ask questions and get a feel for how the engineers liked their jobs.

The interview process involved two interviews conducted on the same day. I didn't get the chance to tour the facility. The environment there reminded me of a prison. They confiscated my cell phone upon entry, and employees are not allowed to bring their phones to work, with restricted internet access. I really didn't like the atmosphere. I was never left alone in a room; someone even had to wait outside when I needed to use the restroom.
