First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Beaumont USD.
Health Aide
You'll have a panel interview with four people. They're nice but give off a vibe that they don't want you from the jump. They'll explain the process a bit, and each person will read a question from a script. It feels pretty intimidating, no matter your background. It's like there's a clique you just won't fit into.
- What action would you take if an employee's private information was shared?
Accounting Clerk
So after I applied, they first sent me a test, it was a typing test, then an Excel test, and an accounting test. I passed those, and then they invited me for an interview. It was like a panel interview with 5 people. Each one asked me one question and I had 5 minutes to answer each. It took them a week to get back to me after the interview.
- How would this role affect children's education?
Intervention Teacher
I applied through EdJoin and think if you have the right education and experience, you'll get an interview. It was kind of weird because they didn't ask me to introduce myself. They jumped right into asking me about specific reading techniques, maybe because I'd interviewed at the district before for a similar position. I felt like I couldn't have prepared much for this interview, and I was disappointed since I took a day off work for it. I think connecting with students and genuinely wanting to help them succeed is more important than getting those questions right. Beaumont doesn't have a diverse teacher population, which I think is a disservice to the students and teachers there. It's unfortunate.
- Can you describe Response to Intervention (RTI) and explain how you would implement it to meet student needs?
Clerk III
The interview was fast and easy. The people interviewing me made me feel super comfortable and everything went really well. They usually promote people from within the district, but sometimes they look outside. Pay attention to those openings so you can apply when they come up and get a chance to interview.
- What makes you want to work at a high school?
