First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Beasley Broadcast Group.
Multimedia Designer
The creative team at Beasley was very nice. They seemed really interested in the beginning. We had a first virtual interview, then they asked me to do a creative challenge, then we had a second interview. I didn't hear from them for a while but then I got an email saying I didn't get the position. Even though I didn't get an offer, my overall experience with them was positive, but the process does take quite a while.
- Can you walk me through your creative process?
Marketing and Promotions
I reached out directly to the Promotions Director in mid-July to arrange an interview for the Fall semester. The conversation started off very casual and friendly, focusing on me and the role. He then mentioned we needed to move on to the actual interview questions, almost like he wasn't eager to get into them, but they were standard interview questions.
- Why are you interested in working in radio?
- Could you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
- Suppose you were marooned on a desert island and could only choose one band to listen to forever, which band would you pick?
On-Air Personality
I was brought in for two days to be on the air with the current morning show. It went great and I was offered the job after the second audition. I was the first person they had interviewed for the position, so I was told to tell no one that I had been offered the job because they had to "cover their EEO bases" and interview other people just to have it on record. I moved and started three weeks later.
- Where do you see yourself in five years?
- Why did you want this job?
- What is your desired compensation?
Senior Software Engineer
Good crowd to work for, always enjoyed it there, good teamwork and culture. I was completely impressed with their professionalism and customer service. The ambiance here is always inviting and comfortable. This is my go-to place for 'X…' - the best in town. Their staff is not only friendly but also highly skilled.
- Can you describe your experience with esoteric and jester skills?
