Bear Robotics Software Engineer Interview Questions

So after I applied, the first thing was this assessment with 3 coding questions (2 medium, 1 hard LC) and 2 open questions about my latest project and open source stuff. The coding topics were Strings, Array, and Math. I got an email saying my results were outstanding, but that might be generic. The second thing was a phone interview with a Team Lead where we talked about my past experiences, my resume, and what I'm looking for. I got to ask some questions too. I felt like the chat went well and I was pretty stoked about this job. The Team Lead seemed cool and like someone I'd like to work with, and our values seemed to match. But, they decided not to move me forward. Not sure what I messed up, but I suspect they're after folks with way more experience for their Junior role than they listed. They mentioned "no robotics experience" in the description. The email said the process was super competitive, but they keep posting this job on LinkedIn weekly, so I think they want a very specific type of person. My best guess is they want someone who just graduated but has a ton of robotics background (maybe a Master's degree).

First there was a Hackerearth OA, then an on-site whiteboard interview. I was told at the site that there would be 4 technical rounds total, so 2 more if I passed the on-site. It feels like a lot for a startup. The on-site itself was okay, the interviewer didn't seem very experienced and was a bit passive-aggressive about my CV. Then there was a whiteboard question, but the interviewer was silent and didn't communicate during the planning or coding. I did all the talking about my thought process and coding. It would have been better if the interviewer was more engaged, but they were disappointing, wanting a different solution even though mine had the same time complexity. They didn't even send a rejection email after weeks, which is pretty bad considering they expect you to come on-site and prepare.

Started with a personal introduction where I talked about my background, experiences, and why I want this job. The interviewer was nice and asked more questions to get to know me. Then some basic math questions on probability and stats, followed by technical questions about Computer Vision (ORB, SIFT). There was also a 30min live coding test and a Q&A session about the position, team, and company.
