I've been looking for a job for a while, so I know how it usually goes. You apply online, then hear back after a few days for a phone screen. But Bear Paddle does things differently. After applying online, you have to take a 20-minute IQ test like the SATs, and then a 140-question personality test. The next day, they send a rejection email. I get the idea of testing personality and IQ, but usually that's after you're hired or at least interviewed. If you're going to make me work, you should pay me. Making every candidate spend 30-45 minutes on psych tests before even looking at my resume is not okay.

The interview process included a 30-minute logic test and an informal chat with the manager. They asked straightforward questions. A part of the interview was singing a children's song all the way through, which I did with 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star'. It was a bit weird, but I get why they do it. It seems like a really fun job for high school or college students, and the pay is good!

The interview was pretty chill. The person I talked to was nice. They want to hear about your experience with kids and get a sense of your personality. You'll be asked to sing a song because the job involves singing to children, but it's okay if you're not a great singer; they just want to see that you can do it confidently.

Had short interviews with basic questions about managing people. They didn't really ask about my personality or how I see things. The salary offer was too low, and they didn't get that having a family to support is important since everyone there, workers and bosses alike, are single or don't have kids.
