First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BE Aerospace.
Product Engineer
I was called to interview with the hiring manager. The interview was scheduled with a short turnaround time. I arrived and met the manager quickly. He then brought in two other people to interview me. It took some time to get everyone in the room. The office felt a bit cramped. The interviewers seemed quite personable. After this panel interview, I was given a tour of the facility. The tour was very casual. The hiring manager was very friendly. Following the tour, I met with the HR manager again. I submitted my application. I was informed I'd hear back by the end of the week. When I didn't get a response, I called the next week. It took another week to get a response. Then, another week and a half passed before I received an offer, with a start date two weeks later. Throughout this whole process, the HR manager remained very cheerful.
- Regarding circuits, do you possess knowledge in this area?
Design Engineer
The interview process included a phone screen, then an in-person interview. I was asked a lot of questions, some difficult and some easy. There were three interviewers and the interview lasted two hours. It's important to do your homework on the company's interview process. They asked typical questions about past failures and successes, and about my work hours and benefits. The facility and people were very nice, but the parking was poor.
- How old are you?
Design Engineer
I went through a recruitment agency and was invited for a first interview which I think went well. After that, I was called in for a second interview. The hiring manager was pretty friendly and to the point. The HR person was also friendly. I'd suggest bringing in any of your past design projects to the interview, as that could really help. Also, knowing Teamcenter might be beneficial.
- Can you discuss your prior design experience?
- Could you share details about your previous design projects?
