Media Day Monitor
I applied online and got a phone interview, then they sent me a writing test to do at home where I had to respond to hotel-related tweets like I worked there. After I passed that, we set up an in-person interview. I was supposed to meet two people, but then they had a mix-up. The director of media monitors was supposed to interview me, but he was late and then gone for 15-20 minutes. The first person I met kept asking me situational questions until I was tired. This interviewer was super awkward and just shot questions at me without any feedback. Then I did another writing test, which was the same as the first and went okay. I heard back two weeks later with a rejection email. I asked for feedback but never got any. Overall, glad I didn't end up working for that interviewer.
- Can you describe a time you encountered ambiguity in instructions and how you handled it?
- What's your favorite book or hobby?
- Describe an instance where you developed an improved method for a task.
Account Executive
The interview process was really straightforward. It started with a phone screening, then moved to three one-on-one in-person interviews with three different people from the team. The HR contact was super responsive and kept me well-informed with updates. Everyone on the team I met seemed to know a lot about the company, its content, and the role itself. The questions they asked were pretty standard interview fare, like asking about my strengths, weaknesses, and my interest in BCV and social media. It felt like a typical startup environment.
- Can you share your favorite social media campaign, or any campaign you've been a part of, that you've worked on?
Social Media Account Executive
I scheduled my interview for Monday after a week of communicating with CeCe. On the day of the interview, I received several Google alerts from the invite she sent. However, when I arrived at the office, I was told CeCe was traveling. No one apologized, and CeCe never followed up with me. After two weeks, I sent a note about how I felt regarding the lack of consideration for wasting my time, but I still never received an apology or any response at all.

Monitor
The first call was pretty standard. After that, I had a writing test with a team member and a manager. The whole thing went by fast, and I got hired within two weeks of applying. The management team was really nice, so just be yourself and friendly during the interviews!
- Can you share your experience with managing crises?
- Describe a situation where you dealt with an unhappy customer.
- What is your interest in social media?
