First, I was asked to write a 2-page memo about a company. If that went well, I had a 30-minute interview that covered a mix of behavioral questions, technical questions, and questions about the memo I wrote. The interview was pretty direct and didn't have any surprises.
- Tell me about the memo you wrote and the assumptions you used.
- Can you explain the assumptions you made in your memo?
- Walk me through your memo and the assumptions you based it on.

First, you have a phone call to talk about what you're looking for and what the company and job offer. It's basically a quick intro to put a face to the resume. If they like it, you'll get invited for another interview. Then, you spend a whole day shadowing a team leader to see what the job is like day-to-day. The team leaders will also ask you questions to see if you're a good fit. At the end of the day, you go back to the office, and they ask you how it went and what you learned. If the team leader has good things to say, you get offered the job on the spot, and training starts the next day.
- How do you stand out from others your age?
Enterprise Architect
I had a one-hour chat with the hiring manager first. Then, there was a case study that involved some research. After that, I did a 3-hour presentation using slides, followed by a Q&A session. We also went over my resume, and they asked detailed questions about each past position, including the names of the managers I worked with.
- What's your experience with data pipelines?
- Tell me about your past roles.
- Who were your managers in those positions?
