The interview process was straightforward. It started with a phone screen with HR. Then there was an assignment that you present in the third round. After that, there were two rounds with team members and the hiring manager. They had good communication and made a fast decision after the interview.

The hiring process was quite transparent and communicated clearly. It moved surprisingly quickly. It started with a personal interview focusing on about 10 delivery-related questions. Then, there was a take-home exercise, which I had to prepare to present in the second stage interview. The interviewers maintained a neutral stance throughout, and I wasn't sure about the outcome. The gender diversity was good across the process.

A recruiter contacted me about an open position and asked if I was interested. I went through several interview rounds quite fast and got good feedback, but then I was completely ignored after the final round. I sent two emails to follow up but received no response. A full month has passed with no communication. While I understand not everyone gets the job, it's basic courtesy to inform candidates they weren't selected after they've completed multiple interviews and reached the last stage. I've never experienced such ghosting from a recruiter this late in the process, especially for a role the HR team actively recruited me for (they reached out to me directly, I didn't even apply!). This really shows the company's image. Given the BBC's age and reputation, I expected more professionalism from their HR department. If a similar opportunity came up in the future, I'd reconsider applying or even working there.
