I put in my application for an internship on the BBC Careers site. BBC has lots of different kinds of internships available, like marketing, ad sales, web development, and others, so you should specify which ones you're interested in within your cover letter. After I submitted my application, I got an email from an HR person saying I was being considered for two of the internships I applied for. I then went in for two in-person interviews, one for each of the internships. A couple of weeks after that, I was offered one of the positions, which I accepted.

I had an interview with a woman at the new york office who was nice and asked simple questions. She basically explained the intern tasks and other stuff. She was kind of nice and I thought I got the internship. I sent a thank you email and waited one month with no response. I emailed her four or five times after that to get an answer, even a negative one, but she NEVER replied, which is very rude. Bad experience!

I was contacted for an interview a week after I applied for the internship position. They wanted to learn more about how I approach problems. I interviewed with two people at once in a relaxed atmosphere. The office decor was modern! I received the internship and I'm happy with my decision. It's rare to find a major corporation with such a relaxed atmosphere and employees who treat you like family, even in the coldest city. I was sad when my internship ended. I couldn't get a job immediately after because they weren't hiring due to the merger with AMC Networks. Good luck!
