Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Baystate Health.
Registered Nurse
Got contacted in 3 days after applying. The interview was set for a week later. It was a professional and informative interview. I was interviewed by 3 health team members. I'd tell anyone to apply.
- Can you tell me about yourself and why you're interested in this role?
- What motivated you to apply for this specific position?
Registered Nurse
It was a conversation and interview questions. The nurse manager was really nice and welcoming. She seemed like she truly cares about her staff. It felt more like a conversation than an interview.
- Tell me about a situation where you were able to do what you do best.
Registered Nurse
It was a normal meet and greet with a tour of the floor. They didn't offer water or coffee, just went through the process like a machine. Everyone was very nice and pleasant. They smiled when they shook my hand and greeted me. The environment was clean and smelt fresh. The walls were empty, no personalized decor. The first interview was a 1:1 with an HR representative where we discussed essential job skills and my personal experiences to make sure I was a good fit. The second interview was a 1:1 with the Unit Manager behind closed doors, with lots of personality/behavior driven questions like "Tell me...?"
- Describe a time you had a conflict with a coworker and how you handled it.
