My initial interview process was fine. I met with the hiring manager, then had a peer interview and ultimately told they went with a candidate with more experience. I got positive feedback along the way and it ended well. They said that another position of the same title would be opening up in a few months and they would offer internal feedback if I was still interested. Until. A week later, someone contacts me and asks if I'm still interested in the position. Someone else on the team had resigned and they needed to fill the position immediately. I expressed my interest and waiting for next steps. After a week, nothing. A colleague, who referred me for the job and I had told about being reached out to, calls me and informs me that position had been filled internally. I contact the recruiter and they say yes, it's true but not to worry as ANOTHER position will open soon. I applied to that one a week later once it was posted and got the auto-rejection email FOUR MINUTES later. I contact the recruiter. Silence. I try again, she says she's on a different team now and can't help me. I ask for some redirection, help with getting that internal feedback from the hiring manager they had offered previously. Nothing. All empty promises. I will never apply here ever again.

12 candidates interviewed in a single process with about 8-9 observers watching. The first hour involved a classic Program Management exercise where candidates were given project details and asked to select resources, justifying their choices. The next few hours consisted of physical and logical games: a ball-throwing exercise with a focus on improving time, moving people on colored blocks, team-based paper puzzles without talking, and a tile-touching game in teams to improve time. A quick lunch followed, after which observers selected 2-3 candidates to advance.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The physical and logical games conducted in a group setting are an unusual interviewing method. Nevertheless, it provided the hiring manager insight into which candidates demonstrated leadership qualities under non-standard or high-pressure circumstances.
