The interview process included a phone screen with HR, virtual interviews, and an in-person interview with the direct report and other team members, along with some online assessments. I thought it was strange they made me do the assessments before deciding on an offer, felt like a waste of resources. It went well, so I was surprised I didn't get the offer.

I had a phone call with HR first. Then I completed an assessment. After that, I spoke on the phone with the director and the company president. A second assessment and an in-person meeting with the marketing and sales leaders followed.

The interview process felt comfortable and pretty laid-back. Everyone involved was friendly and really knew their stuff about the job duties, not just reading from a script. The aptitude test at the start was a bit unexpected since it wasn't an entry-level gig. Overall, it seemed like a solid group of genuine, hardworking people in an industry that's expanding.

The interviews were pretty standard, but the overall process was not. I went through 4 interviews, completed a Wonderlic test, and they checked with my references. No offer was extended, and they're still searching for someone a year later. I'm not sure if they're serious about filling the role or if they're looking for an impossible "perfect" fit. It was a waste of my time and my references' time.
