First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bay Home and Window.
Sales Consultant
First, you submit your resume. Then, there's a phone call with the recruiter. After that, the recruiter sets up an interview with a sales manager. You go in, fill out an application, and then have an initial interview with the sales manager. They will then schedule a second interview with the sales director.
- Can you sell me this pen?
- Do you have a sales process?
- Tell me about your sales process.
Junior Engineer
I went through 3 interview rounds. The first one was with Amanda, the recruiter, for about 30 minutes. We talked about the company, my background, and the role. She was really nice and easy to chat with. Then, I had a 1.5-hour interview with Binh, the IC Manager. We covered the company, my background, and the role again. He was very understanding and encouraging. The last interview was with a Sr. Engineer and a Manager. It lasted about an hour, and we discussed projects and what the role would involve.
- What makes you a good fit for this position?
- How have your previous experiences prepared you for this role?
Marketing Events Specialist
I sent in my cover letter and resume to the email address they listed on their website. It took them about six months to get back to me. Then they talked about some of the job duties, like being on your feet for a long time, using an iPad, and feeling comfortable talking and interacting with people.
- Why are you a good candidate for this position?
Presenter
The process was pretty brief. If you're friendly and communicate well, you've got a good shot. They really want to see if you have experience talking with people and working with others. So, things like retail, sales, phone sales, or being a waiter would be good recommendations.
- How would you deal with a customer declining your offer?
