First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BatchData.
Account Executive
It started with a phone interview that was scheduled. We met and discussed the role. However, within 5 minutes, I decided not to proceed. The reason was that the initial base pay was $40K for the first three months, which was performance-dependent, and not the $70K that was advertised. It felt like a bait and switch.
- Your thoughts on the position?
Tech Lead
There are 4 rounds of interviews. The first round is a self-introduction and language fluency check. The second round is a technical round that includes an online test. The third round is an interview with the CTO. The final round involves salary discussion, after which they will send an offer letter for you to sign and return.
- Can you explain how to scale a database and enhance its performance?
Software Engineer
Worst interview experience with the recruitment manager. I was told that salary is not a constraint before the interview and after attending all of the technical rounds, they said they can't provide the discussed CTC. Such a waste of time. Also, they have time tracking software where you need to be on the laptop for 8 hours mandatory. Seriously?
- Can you discuss application scaling and performance scaling?
Senior React Developer
The number of interview rounds depends on how you do in the first round, which is an introduction where you talk about yourself and your experience. Be honest because it affects the next steps. I only had two rounds.

- Can you explain React JS?
