I had 6 interviews for this advising role, which felt like a lot for an administrative position. The interview lasted over an hour and I was asked at least 15 questions. While I got along with the other admins, I wasn't impressed with the manager, which is a big factor for me. It seems like the place was hit hard by Covid, which is reflected in the garden and the staff. I also saw some concerning things on Glassdoor about salary increases, the president, faculty, and management. The building is old, has leaks, no AC, and I tend to get hot easily.

This phone interview felt a bit rushed. The questions were fairly basic. Just be sure to review information about bastyr ahead of time. I honestly felt that one of the questions was not fair to ask.

First, there was a phone interview, and then later that same week, I had an in-person interview. In the face-to-face, I met with the Program Supervisor and Program Coordinator. We talked about what they really needed for this job. They were really clear about the challenges and expectations, so I know what I'm getting into. Bastyr has a really welcoming culture where they celebrate and respect people's different cultural backgrounds.

The interview process was good, I think I had 2-3 virtual interviews and then got the offer. It started with a phone call interview, then a virtual interview with my manager, and finally a combined interview with the manager and higher-ups. It's a good company to work for.
