First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bassett Healthcare Network.
Talent Acquisition Specialist
I applied online and after 3 days the recruiter reached out via email. We had a 30 min call, and she said I'd hear back within 2 weeks. I followed up by calling the recruiter, but unfortunately, they ghosted me, which seems to be a common issue with companies lately.
- Can you share details about your experience?
- How would you describe your work style?
Research Assistant
After applying, I heard back from HR within a couple of days. The first contact was a message from an HR person wanting to set up a phone interview. It took me over a week of trying to reach them to get a hold of them. They then scheduled me for a phone interview with someone else in HR. That phone interview was really nice; they explained what to expect and said I could call them with any questions. A few weeks after that, I was asked for two more interviews in the department I applied to. Those interviews also went really well. Aside from that first communication hiccup, it was a really good experience.
- Describe a situation where you had a disagreement with a colleague and how you handled it.
Director
The interview process moved really fast. Navigating it can be tricky when you're already part of the company. Regardless of the specific job, you absolutely need a solid healthcare background. It's crucial to be able to connect your work to enhancing the patient experience. Also, having a strong presence and the ability to make critical decisions that affect the entire organization is important.
- Tell me about your background in healthcare.
- How have you improved the patient experience in your previous roles?
- Describe a time you demonstrated a strong personality and made a key decision impacting the whole organization.
PCT/CNA
They started by asking me some basic questions to get to know me. The process was friendly the whole time. They took the time to explain the job and the environment I would be working in. It began over the phone, and then they brought me in to show me the hospital and the floors and meet some of the coworkers.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What experience do you have?
- Why are you interested in this job?
