They were so sweet!! Obviously this varies among managers and locations. But for me, they were so nice. Two managers, and they made it seem like a conversation among friends with a few interview questions mixed in.
- Could you start by telling me a bit about yourself?
- What activities do you enjoy doing in your free time?
- How do you typically manage in environments that move very quickly?

I applied online for a Team Member position at Baskin Robbins in Warwick, Western Australia. It took them 5 weeks to get back to me for an interview, which was terrible. There were 20 of us waiting and I waited for 1 hour to be called in for a 2-minute interview. The interviewer was rude and told me they weren't looking for someone like me and to look elsewhere. They asked if I was available until 10 pm, but my application stated morning shifts only. When I said no because I'm a young teen, they said I couldn't have the job as they need night workers. It was a terrible experience with too much waiting and rude people.
- What is your availability for working until 10pm?
Team Member
I walked in and applied in person. They called me for an interview in about a week and I started training a couple days after that. The whole thing was pretty straightforward and moved along quickly. Before I realized it, I was already in training for a week, and then I was able to start doing the job by myself within another week.
- What days are you available to work, and are there any days you absolutely cannot work?
