The recruiter from Spring Education Group was really positive and made it sound like I was a good fit for the next round. They seemed super enthusiastic and said I'd hear back in a couple of days. But then, nothing. I was ghosted, and my follow-up email got zero response. So, heads up to anyone considering Spring Education Group or Basis Independent Schools: make sure you get a firm timeline upfront because they might not get back to you.

The interview process was very straightforward. It included one round with teachers in the department, a teaching demonstration, a meeting with the upper school dean, an opportunity for a one-on-one with the faculty I would have been replacing, and a final conversation with the head of school. I found it strange that I had little to no opportunity to speak with the students.

It was near the end of the school year, but the hiring process was still pretty fast, taking about 3 weeks in total. I applied online and the headmaster reached out within a week. Our Zoom call went well, and she was nice but asked direct questions. Right after the interview, I had to get references checked (5 total, including 2 from past supervisors). Then, I submitted a video demo lesson. It felt a bit awkward when they checked my references even before deciding on the demo lesson, which was a bit of a surprise given what other applicants had mentioned. Unfortunately, I didn't get the job, and now it's tough to go back to my old school. I'm curious to hear if anyone else has dealt with this and how they handled it. Definitely a lesson learned for me. Good luck to everyone!

The interview process was quick, clear, and open. All three rounds happened over the phone or Zoom. First, I spoke with the network recruiter. Then, I had a Zoom meeting with the Head of School and Regional Director of Operations. Finally, I had a Zoom call with the Director of Academic Programs, who would be my direct manager. Each chat was about 30-45 minutes, full of interesting and insightful discussions rather than standard interview questions.
