The interview was a one-on-one via Zoom. It felt pretty comfortable and I felt like I could ask questions freely. They didn't really ask me interview-type questions, it was mostly me asking them questions. Which was a little confusing but I did get my questions answered! I wasn't told I was hired on the call but I did get emailed contracts and paperwork right after. So I knew I was hired. I was misinformed about a couple things afterwards but was able to connect with other people to get some things clarified. So it could have been better but the interview itself was pretty simple!

It was a really great and fast interview process. They were super clear and made a decision in no time. I really liked my interviewer, they knew everything and did a great job selling me on the cool things about being an EA at Base.

The interview process involved several steps like a skills test and a sample project, both of which I felt I did well on, especially given my 10+ years of VA/EA experience. A few days after submitting the sample project, I got a generic rejection email stating they chose other candidates, with no further details. I wouldn't recommend this company's hiring process.

The hiring process has several stages before an interview, including an exam, a written assignment, and an in-person interview. After dedicating weeks to the process, I received a general notification that I wasn't qualified. Base seems to be looking for candidates with only EA experience, disregarding transferable skills. They do offer a chance to enroll in a $1500 course for their training and reapply in six months. It's unclear what's worse: being rejected, being asked to pay $1500 for a course, or potentially still not getting the job. If you don't have years of EA experience, it might not be worth applying.
