First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Barwon Health.
Medical Registrar
The interview was a three-consultant panel with standard questions. It was friendly but formal. Each consultant took turns asking questions. It was all done on an online video call. The head of department called before and after.
- Can you tell me about a situation where you had to provide feedback to someone more junior than you?
Allied Health Professional
I applied online right before the deadline and they invited me for an in-person interview. They said they'd send a reference link but never did, even though they promised it. They said they'd let me know either way.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to adjust to a change or when things didn't go as planned?
Administrative Assistant
The interview was about an hour long and included several questions. Technical questions were not asked, which was the most important part. It was focused on soft skills and behavior. I didn't feel welcomed or important, and it seemed like the manager didn't care about the team at all.
- In what way would your manager describe you
Customer Service Operator
It was a really thorough panel interview. They asked a lot of questions about my past experience and how I'd react in different made-up scenarios. The interviewers took turns asking questions and wrote down my answers, kind of like how they do for most public service type of jobs.
- Describe a specific situation from your past using the STAR method.
- Can you recount an instance where you successfully resolved a customer issue?
- Tell me about a time you demonstrated exceptional customer service.
