First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bartaco.
Server
It was an easy interview process. They asked me to talk about myself and my past work experience. The interviewers were nice and friendly. They asked me common interview questions like how I would deal with a guest who is not happy. I didn't have to wait very long to be interviewed.
- What's your approach to managing a busy shift?
Hostess
The interview process was really simple and direct. They asked about my availability and mentioned that more hours could be offered if I wanted them. I spoke with Matt, and he was very clear about what the job entails.
- Do you have prior experience in a restaurant setting?
Office Manager
You can come in for an interview between 2-4pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. You'll meet with Erin Bullen at a table in the restaurant. The interview won't take longer than thirty minutes. After the interview, you must send a follow-up email, otherwise, they might not get back to you.
- What contributions can you make to our team?
Manager
They scheduled an interview then sent me a rejection letter. It was confusing because they still called me for a phone interview, which only lasted about 3 minutes. The recruiting process felt a bit disorganized. I wish they hadn't wasted my time with texts, emails, and an interview just to reject me so quickly. It makes me hesitant to proceed with this company.
