First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Barrière.
HR Manager
I was contacted directly on LinkedIn for this HR Manager role. The process involved a phone screening followed by a video interview and then a multi-stage in-person interview. Overall, it moved pretty fast.
- Would you be available to work in the evening due to some employees working night shifts?
HR
I had a first phone call about an HR position. Since I was very interested in this role, I made sure to let my contact know a few days after the call. I tried several times to reach her by text and phone over a month without getting any feedback on my application and my motivation.
- What are your salary expectations?
Croupier
It started with an information meeting where they introduced the group and the croupier job. Then there was a job interview where they asked questions about why I chose this profession and what difficulties one might encounter.
- Are you okay with working nights and holidays?
Customer Service Manager
The interview process began with two video interviews, followed by an in-person meeting. It's handled by an external agency, which was a really bad experience. The recruiter was aggressive and discussed things she didn't understand. It was the first time I've ever wanted to hang up during an interview. The people were extremely pretentious, old-fashioned, and out of touch, which is probably why their product is the same way. It's a very outdated idea of what hospitality should be. I'd advise skipping this unless you're into that kind of Dickensian atmosphere.
- They tend to talk more than listen, making it difficult to answer questions.
