I applied for the Studio Manager role through Indeed and was quickly contacted via text and phone by the studio owner who expressed interest. We scheduled an interview at the studio, where I met with the owner. I received a response about a week later.

The interview process began very smoothly and professionally. I had a great initial phone conversation with the recruiter. Following that, I was set up to talk with the Director of the department. This interview was one of the most informative and positive experiences I've had, aligning with my interests, and I left feeling enthusiastic. After sending a thank you email, I heard nothing back. I sent a follow-up two weeks later, which also went unanswered. It's now been a month and a half, and I still haven't heard from anyone, which is quite unprofessional and a pet peeve of mine. I've worked in both corporate and boutique settings and have never been completely ignored, regardless of the outcome. This was particularly challenging as it involved a significant relocation, and I put other job searches on hold for this opportunity. This lack of communication has left a very negative impression of a company I previously admired and enjoyed using their services.

You have to pay for training but you make it back quickly. The interview itself is short and sweet, then they schedule an 'audition' where you teach a ten minute warm-up sequence which they provide, then you have to get 'certified' by buying a plane ticket to Portland and THEN after three days of rigorous training you must teach friends and family classes, then community free classes, THEN and only then do you start getting paid. But hey it's easier than yoga teacher training.
