First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Barracuda Networks.
Technical Solutions Engineer
It was 3 technical rounds and then 1 director round, all focused on networking. Your basics need to be strong. We covered ARP scenarios, TCP handshake, NAT PAT scenarios, SSL handshake, IPSec troubleshooting, OSPF states, BGP path selection, TCP handshake, TCP header, options, and flags. After the 3 technical rounds, there's a Director round where they might ask one or two troubleshooting questions. If you get selected after that, they'll call you with the offer.
- Could you explain an ARP scenario?
- Can you describe the TCP handshake process?
- What are NAT and PAT scenarios?
Technical Solutions Engineer
the interviewer was super nice and the whole thing took about 30 minutes. they asked some basic CCNA networking questions and a few scenario-based ones. it was a little confusing at times, but overall it was a good experience.
- Can you explain the TCP 3-way handshake in networking?
Technical Solutions Engineer
The interview process is good. There are 3 rounds: HR, a technical round, and a Managerial Technical interview. It mainly focuses on networking basics and troubleshooting skills. They asked about my previous experience. You should prepare well before attending because I have seen candidates not able to clear after multiple interview attempts.
- What networking and security knowledge do you possess?
- Can you share details about your past work experience?
- Explain your background in fundamental networking concepts.
