Server
The interview process for a Server role at Bar Louie involves a face-to-face interview and a one-on-one interview. The one-on-one interview covers work experience and its relevance to Bar Louie, preferred company size, communication skills, effective presentations, job excitement levels, and personal weaknesses that have caused difficulty.
- Could you share an instance where you had to deliver difficult feedback to someone?
- Describe a situation where you faced a crisis.
- What is the best movie you have watched recently?
Server Bartender
Interviewed on site with some basic questions, then had a personality test. If you're ready for common questions about alcohol, food, and dealing with customers, you'll do great. The personality test is scarily spot on. Make sure to smile, be outgoing, and seem confident.
- Tell me about your best and worst qualities.
- Why do you think you should be hired for this role?
- What's your knowledge regarding liquor?
General Manager
It was an easy interview process, but they did have a five-page packet of questions to go through. There were multiple rounds, including in-person and phone interviews, with each lasting about an hour. The hiring team communicated well throughout the process, but there was a lack of internal communication between the hiring managers.
- Tell me about your experience managing a P&L.
Server
I got a call back for my application and the interview was scheduled for two days later. When I got there, the host greeted me and offered me water at a table. The General Manager then came out, we introduced ourselves, and sat down to chat. The interview felt like getting to know the restaurant and the job as if they were people, which helped me get the vibe. It was a comfortable conversation, and while personable, it was clear that service and teamwork are the top priorities.
- Are you seeking full-time or part-time employment?
