First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Banner & Witcoff.
Legal Secretary
The interview process was slow and convoluted, not very thorough or helpful. The interviewer was rushed and rude. They seemed uninterested in me after setting up the interview. It was a complete waste of my time. I would not recommend applying here.
- When would you be available to start?
IP Assistant
About a month after I applied, I had a preliminary phone screen that was about 10-15 minutes long. Later that same day, I was invited for an onsite interview later that week. It was supposed to be an hour but wrapped up in about 25 minutes. I was told I'd hear back the next week, but after two weeks I emailed the office manager for an update. She said it would be about another week for a decision. After waiting another two weeks, I reached out again, and she let me know I wasn't moving forward. Everyone I talked to was nice and answered my questions throughout the process.
- What's something your current supervisor thinks you could work on?
Intern
It was a low-key telephone interview followed by an in-person meeting. They were straightforward and seemed interested in whether I had a real desire to work in intellectual property law, using my background to help with their patent prosecutions and litigation/arbitration cases. The questions focused on that and their development programs. It was great!
- What draws you to intellectual property law?
Accounting Assistant
It was a pretty chill process. I had a phone screening with an HR manager. Then, I received an email to proceed to the next stage, which was an in-person interview with their controller, HR manager, and accounting manager. I'm still waiting to hear if I received an offer.
