First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bank of Scotland.
Customer Service Assistant
I had some online tests to do first, then I interviewed with the branch manager and a senior manager. It was pretty easy, mostly asking about my past jobs and how I'd be a good fit.
- Can you share your previous work experience and explain how you see yourself fitting into this position?
- What in your past experience makes you think you would be a good fit for this role?
Customer Service Representative
The interview process was quick, but there was enough time to answer questions and ask some too. I didn't feel like I needed to give super long answers, as long as I answered the question. There were about 2-3 questions about company values like trust and diversity, and 1 question about my experience.
- Could you share an instance where you improved a process to make it more efficient?
- Do you consider yourself someone who prioritizes efficiency?
- What does trust mean to you in a professional setting?
Branch Assistant
We started with an online application and an online assessment, then there was a video assessment with scenario-based questions, followed by a Teams interview. There were about 4 or 5 questions, and it all took around 30 minutes.
- What is something you really enjoy doing?
Executive Assistant
The interview process was great. I met with several heads of departments. It was a fast process because they thought I was a perfect fit. The interviewers were professional and responsive, and also pleasant. I felt relaxed and comfortable, which allowed me to perform at my best and succeed. I had been with the company for 16 years and it was a perfect match!
- Tell me about your administrative and support experience.
