First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union.
General Manager
I applied and immediately had a phone screen within a few days. I thought I did pretty well, and the recruiter explained the subsequent steps, mentioning the COO and VP by name, reassuring me their names would be provided via email. As I'm currently a manager, I usually don't want to get my hopes up, but I felt I was on track for the next stage. However, the following Tuesday, I received an automated email that my application wouldn't be moving forward. That's fair, but I did reach out to the recruiter for feedback and never heard back. I'd still be interested in future roles and would appreciate that feedback.
- Can you describe your current daily responsibilities?
Communication Center Associate
The hiring process was super easy and the supervisors who interviewed me were really professional. They asked me questions about my life goals and if I had any banking experience. All in all, the entire interview process was professional and fun.
- What did you learn about the Credit Union?
- What are your goals in life?
- Do you have prior banking experience?
Account Service Representative
The hiring process was quite lengthy and involved meeting with several managers. Initially, I felt it was excessive, but I came to understand it was meant to ensure a good fit between me and the company. It only started to become a bit frustrating after I was hired because the expectations set during the interview process didn't quite align with the actual day-to-day reality of working at Bank-Fund.
- Tell me about the management styles you've experienced in past roles.
Systems Administrator
Got a call from a recruiter and set up a time to interview. I made sure to arrive early. I was taken to the HR office for my first interview. After that, I met with the Operations Manager, then the Operations Director, and finally the CEO. The company seems very professional and they are looking for people who want to grow with them. Management mentioned that most employees start as Tellers and then get promoted within the company.
- Imagine you were another person working with yourself for over a year, what are some negative traits you'd notice?
