First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BANDIER.
Retail Sales Associate
The interview was in-person at the store itself. It was a really nice process with lovely people. They were interested in learning about me and my background, and my motivation for wanting to join the brand.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
Telephone Interviewer
The interview process was very smooth. They were very direct and clear on the role and expectations. They also had a very good way of explaining the process of the interviews and how to proceed.
- What was your reason for wanting to leave your current role?
Sales Associate
It was an in-person interview, just me and the interviewer. It happened right there in the store. They asked stuff like why I picked this brand and about my previous jobs.
- What in your previous retail work experience best equipped you for this job?
- Why did you choose to apply to this particular brand?
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
Designer
I applied online and then got an email to schedule a phone call with two people on their design team. They asked me baseline questions about my experience and spent a lot of time telling me what the role would be like. They heavily stressed being "super passionate" about the work, meaning sometimes they took their work home with them on weekends. This was off-putting. Also, there was a certain air of privilege and judgment concerning the brand values. I completed a design challenge from them, and never heard back even after following up.
- What makes you an all-around versatile designer?
- How would you describe your work ethic?
- What design platforms do you have the most experience in?
