Senior Consultant
I applied because I had experience in the industry Bamboo Rose serves. The interview process was really confusing, even though it was a while ago. I spoke with two directors and a VP, and we all agreed I was a good fit for the role, even though I applied for a different one. The final VP said they were going to make an offer. My notes show the recruiter mentioned the VP needed to 'level set' on hiring. I don't remember what that meant, but I guess it made sense then. Looking back, maybe they were cancelling the role? I got a lot of vague answers. During this time, I got another job offer. I told them I had another offer, but they just ghosted me and stopped responding. This lack of communication feels like a bad sign, and I'm glad I didn't end up working there. It's simple to say things like 'we don't know our hiring timeline,' or 'we're moving on with another candidate,' or 'the position is cancelled.' I've interviewed with other companies since then and this has never happened. I'd tell other candidates to watch out for this. If they have the same communication style, it might mean a bad company culture. It's easy to ignore yellow or red flags when you really want the job.

Implementation Consultant
Applying to TradeStone was a bit challenging because most folks travel a lot for work, so getting senior management together for an interview took some serious coordination! I applied online and heard back from HR pretty quickly, within a day. They did a quick screen first, then I went to their Boston office for an in-person interview with two people, one from HR and another consultant. A couple days later, I had another round of interviews with some Senior Managers and the SVP. It was great because everyone was really welcoming and friendly, which was nice for a recent grad like me with not much interview experience. After that, I met with two directors. The job offer came the very next day! I even took a two-week break before starting.

Software Engineer
I interviewed at Bamboo Rose in 2018 for an in-person role at their office. The whole process took more than half a day. First, there were some aptitude and MCQ tests. Then we broke for lunch. After lunch, I had a technical interview that went okay, although the interviewer got an answer wrong but insisted I was wrong. I later confirmed the interviewer was wrong. They told me my profile was a better fit for a Data Engineer than a Java Developer and that they would let me know about the results. I never heard back, even after contacting HR twice. I spent time and money on the commute because the office was far away. It was disappointing not to get a response.

Director of Customer Success
I was introduced to the internal recruiter by a mutual connection who thought I would be a good fit for their open Dir of CS role. I had an initial phone interview with the internal recruiter and a follow-up call with the VP/hiring manager. Both calls went well and I was asked for an in-person meeting. My in-person was with the hiring manager/VP, a manager on the team to show me the product, and the CEO. All conversations went well, there was some good energy and I felt like we had meaningful conversations. However, the follow-through from BR afterwards was awful. I had to follow up no less than 5 times, and all but one of those emails was responded to, letting me know that due to internal changes, they were putting the position on hold for right now, but everyone loved me and they would reach back out when they have their stuff together. Never heard from them again.
