Growth Marketing Manager
Applied and heard back same day, recruiter scheduled call for next day. Recruiter said I was too senior for associate role, better fit for manager role, I agreed. 2 weeks later, generic rejection. Another 2 weeks later, recruiter followed up, manager role hiring, interest? Submit assignment by Monday 9am (sent Thurs EOD). Assignment was to create a sample campaign performance report on 322 rows of client metrics and send brief creative strategy for another campaign. After creating and sending a 20-slide campaign report deck on their clients metrics, received generic rejection email 2 days later.

Paid Social Analyst
The process involved three stages: first, an introductory HR interview, then an assessment, and finally a three-person panel interview. Each part was 45 minutes, totaling 2.25 hours. I progressed to the panel after waiting over two weeks for my assessment review, being told the team was busy. Upon review, I learned the original position I applied for (Paid Media Associate) was filled. I was then offered an interview for a lower-level role, Paid Social Analyst, which I accepted. The panel interviews felt a bit excessive for a junior role, especially since training was implied. My first panel interview started 10 minutes late without an apology, citing an incorrect HR link. The interviewer seemed in a bad mood throughout. She asked situational questions, like specifics on ad creatives, and when I asked for context on past efforts, she dismissed it, telling me to 'make something up.' She was also distracted by her dog and left mid-interview for the restroom, which I found unprofessional. We didn't finish reviewing my assignment as the next interviewer joined. I didn't get to ask any questions. The last two panel interviews were better, with more engaged interviewers. The overall experience was negative due to a lack of communication about next steps and missed deadlines for hearing back, always being delayed by a day or two. I'm disappointed with Bamboo's hiring process, having spent a month and over two hours on interviews, and still haven't received feedback on why I wasn't qualified for a junior role.
- Can you describe the types of ad creatives you would develop?
- In previous positions, how did you leverage data to inform your decisions?
- What motivates you to seek employment at Bamboo?
Account Director
The interviewer, who is the current COO, was 10 minutes late and seemed uninterested. My experience seemed to match the job description, but I thought the role might be a bit advanced for me. She asked basic questions but didn't seem to pay attention to my answers about campaign management, as she asked things already covered. I suspect she had her mind made up already. Job descriptions should be more precise, but I'm glad I might have avoided this opportunity.
- Could you describe your technical background?
Account Manager
I chatted with a really nice person who was happy to answer all my questions. We started with the usual intro to the job and company, and they asked about my background. I found out I'd have to work PST hours, no matter where I am in the US. Since I'm in Central time and planning to move to Eastern, this wasn't ideal for me. But if that changes down the road, I had a good time and would be up for talking more.
- Can you share your experience?
