I had a one hour culture fit interview first. After that, they gave me a take-home project. It was in a Readme file and had over 40 hours of work. I could contact one of the interviewers if I had questions. I spent about 8 hours on the project to make sure I could do each part correctly. They told me I wasn't a good fit because I didn't ask the interviewer for clarification, even though the readme was super clear about what needed to be done.

First, I spoke with an external recruiter who gave me the rundown on the job. Then, I had a soft skills interview with the hiring manager for the first round, which went pretty well. After that, they gave me a take-home coding test. I spent a good chunk of time on that test, and then had my second round with a different hiring manager. I talked to two developers who seemed really uninterested, and then the hiring manager told me I didn't seem excited enough about the role or invested enough in their work.

I got referred by a recruiter and the interview was pretty quick, like less than a week later. I talked to the QA manager, and we discussed my background, ways to test abstract things, and how my past experience applied to software testing. They showed me around the office and I met the team. The QA manager called me later that day to offer me the job.

Started with a quick recruiter call, then went to an in-person interview. They mostly asked about my take on Agile development principles, which was weirdly not the standard way of thinking about it. After the interview, they offered me a job with a salary that was $10k lower than expected, saying I lacked 'technical knowledge' even though we talked about it a lot during the interview. The whole thing felt off.
