The first interview was on Teams with two interviewers. They asked about my technical skills and my attitude towards certain soft skills. If I passed that, the second interview was in person at their office.

Behavioral Technical

I applied online through my university's job board and was soon invited to interview at Ballinger's Philadelphia office. During the interview, two people were present. One person left midway due to a meeting, which made me feel they weren't that invested in hiring me. I finished the interview with the other person and was told I'd hear back in two weeks. After three weeks of no response, I emailed my interviewer and HR, and called HR multiple times to ask about the position's status. Unfortunately, I never heard back from Ballinger.

Behavioral Presentation

This was a straightforward interview. I talked to two interviewers. One was good and asked about my portfolio and experience. The other was late, briefly looked at my portfolio, asked one direct question, and left. I later found out the second person wanted to see if I'd fit their team. My background wasn't a match for his team (which was good, as I realized he wasn't someone I'd want to work with). I got an offer the same day and accepted. I was then placed on a different team.

Behavioral Technical

I had a virtual one on one interview with someone in Operations. They asked me about my experience and how it would help me in this role. When I asked them about growing from this role, they didn't have an answer for me, which I thought was very strange. I didn't get a second interview.

  • Can you tell me about your experience and how it would benefit you in this role?
  • Could you describe the potential for career growth from this position?
