It was a virtual panel interview, then I had an in-person round with 3 interviews. I met with multiple groups and did a presentation of my vision. I interviewed with the panel, then the dean, then career services, and finally a student group.

I was invited to campus for an interview. Ball State covered all my travel costs and booked me a room at the on-campus hotel the night before. I spent about two hours in the morning meeting with different groups, then took a campus tour.

It was a pretty standard tenure-track hiring process, involving a long list and then a short list. The first interview was online, and then if you made the short list, you'd have an in-person interview. The campus visit for the short list candidates was really nice, and everyone was super friendly. It involved two to three pretty intense days, but overall, it was a positive experience.

The whole process was just one in-person interview with the manager. They told me what the job was about and showed me around the place. I met some other staff, and we talked about when I could start and what my schedule could be. This was to make sure that with the 3 or so student workers they wanted to hire, someone would always be there at the front desk.
