First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Balani.
Sales Representative
It was a very thorough process with a set agenda, but it was also quick. I was really excited about the chance to work with this company. Both the president and the owner called me directly, which made me feel pretty important.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- How would you handle certain situations?
Stylist
After applying, I got an email to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was pretty standard. Then, I had to do an assessment with 3 parts: a 270-question personality test, situational questions, and random math questions. This whole process took a lot of time and felt like they didn't trust their own judgment for hiring. It felt really off, and then I got a rude email saying my score wasn't close to what they needed. You'd think actual skills would matter more than a test score.
- Why would a truck be shaking on the expressway?
Executive Assistant
I applied online and got a call quickly for a phone interview. It lasted about 30 minutes. Then I went in for a face-to-face interview that was about an hour long. I got an offer not long after. The process is different for professional custom stylists though.
- Can you tell me about the qualities of your ideal job?
Sales Associate
I put in my application online and then had a zoom video interview. It went pretty well. The hiring manager said they would email or call me back with the results. But it's been a week and I haven't heard anything.
