First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bakers Shoes.
Sales Associate
The interviewer was late and interviewed me and another girl at the same time. I thought that was weird and very unfair. We were asked the same questions and sometimes had the same answer. She said she would call back regardless if we got the job or not and never did.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Sales Associate
Your interview attire should reflect Bakers. Be professional and stylish, given Bakers' reputation. The interview will be direct. Initially, you'll participate in a group interview with other candidates. Based on that, they'll decide who to invite for a second interview, which will be either one-on-one or with two to three interviewers. They'll ask about your career goals and how you can contribute to the company. You'll need to research Bakers' history, including its founding and past challenges. They might also inquire about your favorite shoe styles or brands to gauge your fashion sense, which is important because selling shoes involves more than just the product; it's about matching the right shoe to your client's fashion preferences.
- Can you tell me about your customer service abilities?
Sales Associate

- Be prepared to do an impromptu sales pitch.
Sales Associate
It was a very casual interview. They don't do drug tests for part-time sales associates.
