We started with 250 applicants and the process took two months. It involved four interviews. The first one was online, and then two were in person. The second in-person interview was one-on-one, and the third was a small group interview. After that, I met with several team members. They narrowed it down to two people by the third interview, and by the final interview, it was just me.

I went in person to ask about a job and had an interview set up within a week. It was short and included a skills and intelligence test with tasks like alphabetizing by name and title. A background check was done, and two online seminars (sexual harassment and workplace violence) were completed, each taking about 45 minutes with certificates sent to management and my file. The overall process was simple and easy, with no tough questions. The focus was on skills, professionalism, and if I was a good fit for the department.

So first, I had a phone interview that was about 15 minutes long. I thought I would be talking to the Director of Housing, but it was the Area Coordinator. Then, I had another interview over Facetime/Skype, this time with both the Area Coordinator and the Director of Housing. That one was about twenty-five minutes. Both times, they asked me questions about my experience related to the job.

Behavioral Other

I sent in my application by mail as instructed. The interview itself was over the phone and was conducted by two HR folks. After some initial chatting, they asked me general questions. I felt like most of the questions weren't really about the specific job, more like just screening questions. I didn't really get a chance to show how I'd be valuable to the company.
