Candidate-reported interview process

The interview process at BAE Systems involves several steps. It starts with an initial screening, followed by technical assessments, and then both behavioral and technical interviews. The goal is to see how well a candidate's skills and overall fit align with the role at the company.

I had an AI-based interview with 4 oral questions and 2 task-based questions. One task involved coding, and another was an electrical circuit calculation. It was all done online. I had 3 minutes to answer each question, with 30 seconds to prepare for each.

I've interviewed with BAE twice for entry-level Mechanical Engineer roles. Each time, it was just one interview, although you'll probably chat with a recruiter by phone or email beforehand. The interview was pretty standard, covering your experience and some engineering fundamentals to gauge your problem-solving abilities. But heads up, don't expect to hear back if you don't get the job; they're really bad at giving interview feedback, which can be super annoying. Otherwise, it seems like a decent place to work!
