Candidate-reported interview process

It was a very professional and well-organized interview. Several people asked me questions. They respected my opinions and gave me plenty of chances to ask my own questions. All in all, a very good interview process. They made decisions and let me know in a timely manner after the interview.

It started with just an email from the recruiter, no initial screening. The recruiter was kinda vague but did mention I'd only be talking to the hiring manager. The first interview was actually a panel with the hiring manager, a director, and someone from HR. It wasn't a big deal, but it would've been nice to know who would be there beforehand. They asked a bunch of typical behavioral and quantitative questions for about an hour. They finished by saying a decision would be made by the end of the week. Two weeks went by and still nothing. Guess they're one of those companies that talks about integrity but then ghosts you. Really shows their true colors.

I was recommended by someone who works at BAE and they partially recruited me. Then I applied online. I went through four really tough interviews over about 5 weeks. Each interview had 4-5 people on the panel. After that, I waited a few weeks for an offer letter. Then there was another week of negotiating compensation, and then I was hired. It was a really thorough process, but it took a long time, and sometimes there were big gaps in communication with my recruiter. But, as a mentor told me, at this level you're a big investment, so companies take their time. It makes sense. I still really like it here after 4 years.
