Backroads Interview Questions

There were four interview rounds. I made it to the hiring event but wasn't hired. Apparently, I wasn't a good fit for the company, even with my previous experience. It would have been better to simulate an actual trip rather than playing role-playing games.

So you fill out this general application and then you gotta record some videos of yourself answering questions. After that, they might give you a phone interview. If that goes well, they'll schedule you for a big group hiring event that lasts all day, like 8 to 5. You get split into two groups. There are physical tasks, like fixing a bike tire, and then group exercises where you have to work together on a task. You also have to do a short, 2-minute public speaking thing in front of your group, pretending to explain something to guests on a trip. They'll let you know within a few days after the event if you got the job.

The hiring process for this role was really intense and took a while, but it was totally worth it in the end. It was different from any other interview process I've been through. It all started with an online application. If they liked my application, I had to record a video of myself answering some basic questions, like why I was applying. After that, there was a one-on-one video interview. Then came the hiring event, which could be in person or online. This hiring event was the toughest part. It was a full day where they really dug into both my hard and soft skills. They wanted to see how I worked with others, how I solved problems, and if I could lead.
