The process was fast, I enjoyed every part of it. There were 4 interviews: first, a recruiter called to check if I was a good fit. Then, a technical interview assessed my knowledge. After that, a managerial interview focused on my behavioral skills and team fit. Finally, I had a case presentation where I discussed the architecture of a system I worked on in the past two years.
It started with an HR meet to go over the role and what I'd be doing. Then there were 3 technical rounds. The first was with the direct supervisor, a Technical Director from Mexico, for about 45 minutes, asking about my past experience and its technical aspects. The second was with another Technical Director, this time from the U.S., covering the day-to-day of a Solutions Architect. The last interview was a case presentation based on a project I'd done before, with 4 panelists asking questions. After these, HR set up a meeting to talk about the offer.
We started with a kick-off round with HR to go over the job description and see how my skills matched. Then, there were two technical rounds where we discussed frameworks, designs, approaches, infrastructure, and the ALM process. The second technical round also included an evaluation by the Regional Vice President. After that, I had a case study presentation, which was quite interesting. They gave me a problem statement and a week to prepare a whole case study covering design, implementation, rollout, scaling, cost optimization, and key takeaways. Finally, I had a confirmation call with HR about the next steps.
