We start with HR, then a technical test, and a tech discussion. The last step is the hiring manager interview. To be efficient, we can begin with the hiring manager. If they like you, we proceed with the other steps.
The interview process included a first screening interview where we talked about company projects, followed by a second screening interview focusing on soft skills and candidate motivations. The third stage was a technical interview, lasting about 1.5 hours, which involved discussions on core Java, concurrency, SOLID principles, and the Spring framework.
I found this role at Backbase through LinkedIn. A technical recruiter gave me an overview of what to expect in the interview process and helped set up my technical interview. After that, I had a round with the engineering manager. This was a conversational session where they assessed my project experience and how I work with people. It was a really different and positive interview experience.
