The HRBP was surprisingly late, which is unusual in Japanese culture where being on time is important. They were vague and didn't give straight answers to my questions, making me feel they weren't being honest.

Got a call from a third-party consultancy, then the company HR called about the job details. After being shortlisted, I had an interview with the project manager. It was a very easy process. This vacancy is for on-roll employees.

You'll meet with the Managing Director and managers who will share their opinions and assess your fit. While the Japanese experience is noted as interesting and challenging, the overall atmosphere is generally very nice.
