Candidate-reported interview process

I spoke with three developers on Zoom. The first chat was around 30 minutes, mostly covering my background, interests, and resume, and ended with a quick coding problem. The second chat, with two developers, lasted about an hour and was more focused on coding skills.

I first met the team at a university career fair and had a good chat with them. Later that week, they reached out for a phone interview. I talked about my projects and classes and did a simple coding question. The next day, they invited me for an in-person interview. It was similar to the phone interview, but when it came to whiteboard coding, I got really nervous because it was my first time and I struggled with a question I should have known. I eventually figured it out, but they told me I need to be more comfortable with object-oriented programming. They were really nice throughout the process. My only advice is to practice whiteboard coding.

I got an email to schedule a Zoom interview, mostly to go over my resume. There was supposed to be a technical part, but the engineer had to leave early. Then, I got another email to set up a technical interview, which ended up being in person at Axosoft. This technical interview involved 3 whiteboard problems: 2 coding and 1 brain teaser. I had to explain my solutions and answer follow-up questions, which took about 1 hour and 15 minutes. After, they told me they were looking for someone better at algorithms and faster. The whole thing from start to finish took about 10 days.
