I applied online in late June and heard back within a week to schedule a phone chat with a recruiter. The recruiter mentioned they'd pass my info to the hiring manager. About a week after that, the hiring manager wanted to set up an in-person interview. I had a 60-minute panel interview in early July with some standard questions, and it seemed to go okay. They said I'd know about a decision within a week or so.
I interviewed for a Mechanical Engineer role. They asked about my Master's project and any other relevant experience. They also inquired about my internship. Then they asked if I had experience with Autodesk Inventor or AutoCad. After that, they went over the job duties.
So I talked to two engineering managers. The first one started with some easy questions about my background and experience. Then we got into a technical chat about how I'd design something. The interviewer really seemed to try and throw me off with curve balls, I think to see how I think and handle problems. The second interview was a pretty standard experience-based interview. The work vibe seems super chill. The company has a bunch of offices in the Houston area, and they said I could pick the one closest to my house if I got the job.
