The recruiter reached out to me first. I then interviewed with the sales manager two times. The manager seemed nice, but they misrepresented the job as remote, when in fact it requires being onsite downtown three days a week for the initial few months. They don't offer a bus pass and only reimburse $10 a day for parking, which is something to consider. This definitely put me off and I lost interest. The interview with the sales manager was also quite short, only 30 minutes, and we had to schedule a follow-up to finish our discussion.
The company reached out to me. They didn't want to tell me the salary range in the first meeting, saying it'd be in the next one. The HR person on the initial call couldn't answer half my questions because Axcient had outsourced the hiring process to their investors, so I learned nothing new. They said they needed to fill the job right away and would reply the next day, but it took 5 days for them to get back to me.
I was contacted by the company, but they wouldn't tell me the salary range in the first interview, saying it would only be shared later. The HR person on the initial phone screen didn't know the answer to half my questions because Axcient had hired investors to manage the hiring process, so I didn't learn anything new that wasn't already on the online job ad. After they told me they needed to fill the job right away and would respond the next day, it actually took them 5 days to get back to me.
