So there were four interviews total. One was a take-home task where I had to make a presentation on how we could put AI into their products. The first three chats were okay, but it felt like they didn't really want to be there interviewing. The last interview, with the presentation, went pretty well, but they later emailed saying I should've gone deeper into how to actually use AI in their products. Like, I've never worked there, how am I supposed to know what they need exactly? I proposed six different ways with slides on how to incorporate AI and went pretty deep on each different "AI product."
The screening process was followed by a case study. Although I did not get to the case study stage, they provided me with feedback on it, based on another candidate's performance. The entire process took a long time to respond, and the team appeared quite unmotivated, raising concerns about the environment's health.
So after I applied, the first step was an HR call where they gave me more info about the job and how the interviews would go. Then, I had a 45-minute interview with the hiring manager and a teammate. We talked about why I wanted to apply and they asked me some behavioral questions about my past work. I didn't get to the next stage, but they told me it would have been a research task.
