Candidate-reported interview process

I had a phone call with the hiring manager. They seemed really nice and were open to hearing my pitch. I wasn't exactly what they were looking for, but they were happy to listen to how I thought my other experiences might fit the role.

It was a pretty chill interview process with a lot of basic questions about my experience, especially my hardware design experience. They asked about my toughest project and my strengths. Overall, it was very relaxed and easy to talk with the interviewers. They didn't have any specific questions regarding the job itself.

I interviewed with an engineer who also handles project management duties. After that chat, I met with the lab supervisor. It was a pretty quick interview. Then, they showed me around the place.
